Surftech offers the unique corrosion prevention and protection Oxifree in our range of innovative products.

Oxifree is a flexible and recyclable thermoplastic material that prevents and combats corrosion and protects metal components, including moving ones, in exposed environments.

Oxifree stops corrosion and lubricates rusted moving and fixed parts. It provides environmentally friendly protection for up to 10 years. It works great on, for example, bearing housings where the shaft rotates under the protective Oxifree layer.

The material, which consists of cellulose and vegetable oils, is heated and sprayed onto the component it is intended to protect.

The material wraps around the component and begins to loosen the vegetable oil. The oil forms a barrier between the component and the material, stopping the corrosion process by preventing oxygen from passing through.
